This explains what Hey Ned collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we use your data to run Hey Ned for you, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- Photographers: your sign-in email, your studio details (name, contact details, location, logo, prices, contract terms, writing samples) and how you use the app.
- Your clients: what you or they enter, such as names, emails, phone numbers, session details, booking form answers, signatures (with the time, IP address and browser used to sign), invoices and payment status.
- Website scans: if you ask Ned to read your website, we fetch the public pages you point us to.
How we use it
- To run Hey Ned: storing your clients, sending the emails you ask for, showing contracts and invoices to your clients.
- To draft writing for you with AI, using your studio details and writing samples.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
We don't sell personal data or use your clients' details for our own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help run Hey Ned, and only what they need:
- Supabase (database and sign-in) and Vercel (hosting)
- Anthropic (AI drafting); data sent for drafting isn't used to train their models
- Resend (sending email)
- Stripe (card payments, through your own Stripe account)
- OpenStreetMap's Photon service (city search; only what you type)
We may also share data if the law requires it.
Your clients' data
For your clients' details, you're in charge and we handle them on your behalf. If a client asks to see or delete their details, you can do it in Hey Ned, or contact us and we'll help.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, apart from backups, which roll off within a further 30 days.
Your choices
You can see and change your details in the app, and ask us for a copy or for deletion at any time by emailing hello@heyned.com.
Cookies
We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
